Meine Rückreise nach San José verläuft nicht so reibungslos und so komme ich etwas entmutigt in der Grossstadt an. Um ehrlich zu sein, jetzt grad würde ich am liebsten nach Hause fliege.
Nachdem ich meine nächsten zwei Tage in der Grossstadt geplant habe geht es mir dann wieder besser.
Am nächsten Tag steht eine geführte Standrundgang an. Die Tour steht unter dem Motto "A Forest Within the City". Pablo führt und durch die Quartiere von San José und weiss so einiges über die Häuser und die Geschichte der Stadt zu erzählen. Ich hätte mich auf mehr "grün" gefreut und komme am Ende im Schmetterlingsgarten dann doch noch zum Zug.
Nach dem Rundgang schlendere ich gemeinsam mit den zwei anderen Tourteilnehmern durch die Stadt und nach einem Lunch trennen sich unsere Wege wieder.
Ich erhole mich kurz im Hotel und schon gehts weiter zum nächsten AirBnB Abenteuer. Dieses Mal "Authentic Cooking & Family Experience". Mein Uber bringt mich sicher zur Familie von Mar. Ich werde so herzlich empfangen, dass ich mich sofort wie zu Hause fühle. Das tut mir grad richtig gut und der Abend rette meine leichte "Heimweh Stimmung".
Ich erlebe einen wundervollen Abend. Wir kochen gemeinsam das typische Essen aus Costa Rica (Casado) , diskutieren, lachen, tanzen und ich bekomme einen Crashkurs in Spanisch.
Ein riesiges Dankeschön an dieser Stelle an Mar und ihre Familie! Ich habt meinen Tag gerettet!
Endlich habe ich das Gefühl wirklich ganz richtig auf meiner Reise angekommen zu sein.
Am Tag darauf besuche ich mit einer Kleingruppe eine Kaffeefarm und erfahre so einiges über unser tägliches "Wachmachmittel". Im Anschluss besuchen wir den Vulkan Poàs. Wir haben Glück und das Wetter spielt auf der ganzen Tour mit. Wir können die Vulkan-Aussicht nebellos geniessen und fahren überglücklich weiter zu den La Paz Gärten und Wasserfällen. Hier verbringen wir Zeit in der Natur zwischen Kolibris, Raubtieren, Schmetterlingen und vielem weiteren.
Diese Tour hat sich definitiv gelohnt.
My return trip to San José does not go so smoothly and so I arrive a bit discouraged in the big city. To be honest, right now I would love to fly home.
After I have planned my next two days in the big city I feel better again.
The next day, a guided tour of the city is scheduled. The tour has the motto "A Forest Within the City". Pablo leads us through the neighborhoods of San José and knows a lot about the houses and the history of the city. I would have been looking forward to more "green" and am haooy to end up in the butterfly garden.
After the tour I stroll together with the two other tour participants through the city and after a lunch our ways separate again.
I recover briefly in the hotel and already it goes on to the next AirBnB adventure. This time "Authentic Cooking & Family Experience". My Uber takes me safely to Mar's family. I am welcomed so warmly that I immediately feel like at home. This feels really good to me and the evening saves my slight "homesick mood".
I experience a wonderful evening. We cook together the typical food from Costa Rica (Casado), discuss, laugh, dance and I get a crash course in Spanish.

Finally I have the feeling to have really arrived on my journey.
The next day, I visit a coffee farm with a small group and learn a lot about our daily "wake-up remedy". Afterwards we visit the volcano Poàs. We are lucky and the weather is perfect during the whole tour. We can enjoy the volcano view fogless and continue overjoyed to the La Paz gardens and waterfalls. Here we spend time in nature among hummingbirds, predators, butterflies and much more.
This tour was definitely worth it.
