Von Monkey Mia fahren wir in Richtung Kalbarri, wo wie durch das Natural Window eine eindrückliche Landschaft betrachten dürfen.
Auf dem Weg zum Sonnenuntergang entdecken wir am Strassenrand Kängurus. Erst als ich mit SAM vor dem Gebüsch stehe, sehe ich, dass da auch ein Junges ist. Es ist so neugierig und nähert sich mir auf 2 Meter. Erst als sich der Rest der Gruppe nähert huscht es in den Wald und etwas später hüpft es mit seinen Eltern davon. So süss!
Etwas später stehen wir nach einer Ganztagesfahrt an einer Klippe und bewundern den Sonnenuntergang. Der hat sich richtig gelohnt! So schön! Es wir unser letzter gemeinsamer Sonnenuntergang sein.
Am nächsten Tag steht nochmals eine lange Fahrt auf dem Programm. Der erste Stop machen wir beim Pink Lake und heute ist er wirklich PINK... Kandice, Lisa und ich wollen uns das natürlich von Nahe ansehen und suchen uns einen Weg durch das dichte Schilf, bis wir direkt vor dem speziell farbenen Wasser stehen.
Auf dem Rückweg hört man uns einige male nervös lachen... wir haben uns komplett verirrt. Plötzlich sind viel mehr Wege im Dickicht zu sehen und wenn da nicht Grant gewesen wäre, der uns mit seiner Stimme auf den rechten Weg brachte, würden wir wohl immer noch darin rumstolpern. Danke Grant!
Nach dem Lunchstop steht ein Rutsch-Steh-Sandboarding auf dem Programm. Der Sand war leider etwas feucht für gutes Boarden... doch es hat sehr Spass gemacht.
Der letzte Stop heute bracht uns jedoch alle nochmals in richtiges Staunen. Die Pinnacles sind echt ein Besuch wert. Ich kann einfach nicht verstehen, warum man durch einem solchen Park die Autos fahren lassen muss. Ein paar autofreie Fotos hat es dann doch gegeben.... ein paar letzte Gruppenfotos auch.
Um 18 Uhr erreichen wir dann Perth und müssen uns vorerst bis zum gemeinsamen Nachtessen voneinander verabschieden. Ich werde von Roger in Empfang genommen. Bei ihm und Annette darf ich die Tage in Perth wohnen und leben.
Nach dem Znacht und einem Besuch in einer Bar ist die gemeinsame Intrepid Zeit dann definitiv zu Ende. Schön war es! Danke Brenton, Kandice, Lisa, Elisa, Bonnie, Andreea, Emily, Mary-Lyn, Grant, Lucille, Ruth, Camilla und Wakka für die tollen 22 Tage!
From Monkey Mia we drive towards Kalbarri, where as through the Natural Window an impressive landscape may be considered.
On the way to the sunset we discover kangaroos on the roadside. Only when I stand with SAM in front of the shrubbery, I see that there is also a cub. It is so curious and approaches me at 2 meters. Only when the rest of the group approaching does it scurry into the forest and a little later it hops off with its parents. So sweet!
A little later we are standing on a cliff after a full day trip admiring the sunset. That was really worth it! So beautiful! But it will be our last sunset together.
The next day is another long drive on the program. We make the first stop at the Pink Lake and today he is really PINK ... Kandice, Lisa and I want to look at this of course close and look for a way through the dense reeds until we are directly in front of the specially colored water.
On the way back we hear a nervous laugh a few times ... we are completely lost. Suddenly there are many more paths in the thicket and if it had not been for Grant, who brought us with his voice on the right path, we would probably still stumble in it. Thanks Grant!
After the lunch stop, a slide-standing sandboarding is on the program. The sand was unfortunately a bit damp for good boarding ... but it was a lot of fun.
The last stop today, however, brought us all in the right amazement again. The Pinnacles are really worth a visit. I just can not understand why you have to drive the cars through such a park. There were a few car-free photos then .... and a few last group photos too.
At 18 o'clock we reach Perth and have to say goodbye to each other for the evening meal. I am being received by Roger. With him and Annette I am allowed to live and live the days in Perth.
After dinner and a visit to a bar, the common Intrepid time is definitely over. It was nice! Thank you Brenton, Kandice, Lisa, Elisa, Bonnie, Andreea, Emily, Mary-Lyn, Grant, Lucille, Ruth, Camilla and Wakka for the great 22 days!
