Heute fahren wir um 6:45 Uhr los in Bungle Bungles. Dies ist ebenso die Region der Kimberly's. Diese Region wird uns in den nächsten Tagen einige Male zum Staunen bringen.
Erneut sind einige Stunden Fahrt angesagt, bevor wir auf holpriger Naturstrasse unser Camp "with no facilities" erreichen. Brenton unterbricht die Fahrten unter anderem mit einem Besuch in einer Rumdestillerie. Ich weiss nicht, ob er damit bezwecken wollte, dass wir nach der Degustation auf der Fahrt besser schlafen.
Eine Nacht im Swag unter Sternenhimmel ohne Restaurant oder anderes um uns wartet auf uns... natürlich gibt es hier auch keinen Empfang... und wir freuen uns darauf!
Ebenso freuen sich Mary-Lyn, Grant und ich ganz fest auf den nächsten Tag. Denn nach einem Spaziergang durch die Bungle Bungels sehen wir diese am Nachmittag aus der Luft.
Ja, wir haben einen Helikopter Flug gebucht und das Highlight für mich war nicht nur die tolle Natur, sondern vor allem, dass dieser Heli keine Fensterscheiben hat... ich konnte mich also mit SAM so richtig aus dem Fester lehnen und fotografieren. So toll.
Geflasht von diesem Flug strahlt Grant (73) wie ein kleines Kind! Getragen von dieser Energie fuhren wir zum Mini Palm Gorge wo ein weiterer Spaziergang auf uns wartet. In der "Wetsaison" ist hier ein breiter Fluss. Doch heute können wir über die Steine an den Palmen soweit laufen, bis nur noch ein kleiner Spalt ist. Dieser hat für einige Lacher gesorgt.
Ein weiterer sehr erlebnisreicher Tag geht zu Ende und wir stossen bei Sonnenuntergang darauf an!
Today we leave at 6:45 driving towards the Bungle Bungles. This is also the Kimberly's region. This nature will astonish us a few times over the next few days.

A night in a swag under a starry sky without a restaurant or anything else waiting for us ... of course there is no reception here ... and we look forward to it!
Likewise, Mary-Lyn, Grant and I are looking forward to the next day. Because after a walk through the Bungle Bungels we see the Bungle Bungels in the afternoon from the air.
Yes, we have booked a helicopter flight and the highlight for me was not only the great view, but above all, that this helicopter has no windows ... So I could really lean out with SAM and take pictures. So great.
Flashed by this flight, Grant (73) shines like a little boy! Carried by his energy, we drove to the Mini Palm Gorge where another walk awaits us. In the wetsaison there is a wide river here. But today we can walk over the stones on the palms until there is only a small gap left. This has caused some laughs.
Another very eventful day comes to an end and we celebrate it with a beer at sunset!
